How to track water on Apple Watch

August 29, 2026 · 4 min read

The best water tracker is the one within reach when you're actually drinking — and your phone is usually in another room, face down, or mid-doomscroll. Your watch is on your wrist. That's why Quenched's Apple Watch app is a real, full app rather than a remote control: you can log a drink, watch your ring fill over the rising water, and review your last seven days without your iPhone being anywhere nearby.

Getting the watch app

Install Quenched on your iPhone and the watch app comes along. If it didn't appear automatically, open the Watch app on your iPhone, scroll to Available Apps, and tap Install next to Quenched — or grab it from the App Store directly on your watch. It's free, like the rest of Quenched's core.

Logging a drink from your wrist

  1. Open Quenched on your watch — your progress ring and water level greet you.
  2. Tap to add a drink.
  3. Pick a preset cup or bottle, or turn the Digital Crown to dial in an exact amount.
  4. Tap Add. The water rises, the ring advances, and you're done in under three seconds.

Complications: your ring on the watch face

Quenched ships four complication styles — including a live seven-day chart — so your hydration can live on the face you already glance at fifty times a day:

  1. Touch and hold your watch face and tap Edit.
  2. Swipe to complications, tap a slot, and choose Quenched.
  3. Pick the style that fits the slot — ring, level, or chart.

A complication is also the fastest way back into the app: one tap on the ring and you're logging.

Checking your week

Swipe over in the watch app for the last seven days — a bar chart of each day's intake against your goal line, so you can spot the day the wheels came off (it's always Saturday) without pulling out your phone.

How syncing works

Everything you log on the watch syncs to your iPhone — and everything on the phone syncs back. Quenched sends entries directly between the devices and backstops them through your own private iCloud, so the two stay in agreement even when one has been off the wrist or out of battery. With Apple Health sync on, watch entries land in Health just like phone entries. No account, nothing to configure.

Android user reading along? There's no Wear OS app yet — on Android, Quenched lives on your phone with home screen widgets for the same one-tap logging.
